Thursday 21st May

The oxeye daisies are coming through nicely. There are lots of other things come up. I have my survey planned for 2 weeks time so can report back on what I find. Only one slow worm under the mats today, a chunky one!

Wednesday 13th May

My weekly walk round was full of good things this week. The oxeye daisies look ready to burst, common vetch, groundsel and red clover all doing well.

Four slow worms in the education area and one lizard.
White helleborines in the northern beech copse was a nice surprise.

Monday 11th May

Thought I'd pop up to see if the ox-eye daisies had come out over the long weekend... Still waiting!

Wednesday 6th May

What a change! The meadows are coming alive, dozens of starlings flying into the meadows and coming out with beaks full! Sparrows nesting in the hedge and I can still hear skylark.

The first few oxeye daisies are rearing their heads. Red clover is coming out in patches and there's a lot of groundsel, meadow buttercup and plantain.
