Friday 20th
Apologies for not posting on Friday, there were 12 cows in the field and all seemed well. Friday evening got away from me and Saturday was just as busy so I just wanted to check in now (even if very late).

Warm and sunny Saturday
12 beasts in the meadow. Half them resting , the other half stood up to watch me checking the trough and locking the gate. Trough is full and a couple of them had a drink.
Some of the cows have bald patches on their bottoms and necks from scratching themselves on the barbed wire. I watched one scratching its face on the fence today. I also thought one white cow wasn’t walking very well, limping with its back right leg. I’m sorry but I couldn’t tell you which cow it was.
Heard the skylarks and saw a couple of peacock and comma butterflies. 3 roe deer in the big meadow

Monday 16th March
Sorry for retrospective post, checked all 12 cows at around 5pm with no issues spotted. Walked around the field and noticed quite deep tyre tracks from the tractor alongside the railway line, hopefully it will flatten out.

Saturday 14/3/26
All 12 were in the dip , grazing. Showed interest in me as I checked the trough. It does look a bit murky at the bottom, but has plenty of water in it. Cattle began to congregate, leaving a little group of 3 whites a short distance from them, and my favourite black face resting separately.

Mon 2nd March
Spring is in the air! Beautiful sunny day, starting to dry out a bit now although the field has a lot of cow hoof indentations following all of the wet weather. 11 cows were sat down basking in the sun, the other was stood up eating. Trough fine but didn't check the fence.
