Monday 28th September

All 53 sheep counted. One of the white faced woodland lambs is lame on its rear right leg. Keeping up with the others but reported to the grazing teams. Troughs working OK.

Friday 25th September

Apologies for not posting this sooner. We went out on Friday and wormed all the sheep. Some were lame, particularly number 10 so we treated them. Hopefully we see an improvement soon! 

Sunday 27 Sep

 All 53x counted. No concerns. They were tucked away in the far top corner of the eastern enclosure, so they took a little while to find!

Saturday 26 Sep

 All 53x counted. All good. Two of the old sheep are walking a little stiffly, but not concerned - will monitor them. The very small lamb was separate from the flock, but rejoined them when approached - will monitor also.

Thu 24 September

Not my usual day, but I popped out during a break in the rain. All 53x counted - they were in two groups of 31 and 22. One lamb with a very messy back end, but was looking lively and no flies. Couldn't get close to read the ear tag. Rang Ellie.

53 sheep on Barton Meadows

49 lambs and 4 sheep on Barton Meadows. Hopefully the friendly sheep will calm the nerves of the lambs. 

The have been sprayed for flies so hopefully they wont settle on the messy back ends. Please keep an eye on them as they hhave recently been weaned.
