All 50x counted and all appear healthy. No significant limping seen in any of them, all came to the call and no flies observed. No concerns.

All fifty sheep counted, couldn't see any limpers close up as it was early and many weren't active. Trough is functional.

Thursday October 28th
All fifty sheep accounted for . Notwithstanding the fact that the grazing team checked them on Tuesday there was one today with a noticeable limp ( the near side fore is the problem ) and one other with a slight limp. Given rhe continuing unseasonal mild weather I checked for fly strike but couldn’t see any evidence of additional infestations . Otherwise all fine and all of them grazing well. Their trough is working ok .

Tuesday October 26th
Counting the 50 sheep today was pretty straightforward inasmuch as when I arrived the grazing team had them in the crush at the northern end of the field in order to treat those with limps and a few with fly strike . So all issues dealt with there and then .

Monday 25th October
All 50 sheep present, very well spread out today. It's pretty boggy around the field after a lot of rainfall. Water trough is full. Cannot see the limper today but will pop out again for a 2nd look. The scraggy one doesn't appear to be growing back any wool.

Friday 22nd October
Counted all 50. Spotted a limper (front right leg) but it had been sat down for a while so might have stiffened up, wouldn't let me get close enough to get the tag number unlike the others which are very friendly! Limper here https://photos.app.goo.gl/8S3rSQ9hstwgTSh27
Sat 23 and Sun 24 Oct
All good - all 50x counted and no concerns. They've been bunched along the fence line, which makes counting trickier. They came to a call and couldn't spot any significant limping. Loads of mosquitoes, but no flies seen.
They're getting friendly now. If I stand still for long, I get the backs of my legs nibbled...

Tuesday October 19th
All 50 present and correct . All looking fine today . A couple had slight limps when they got up but I think this more down to stiffness from lying down rather than something more serious as both seemed to move more easily after a few minutes walking . No other issues apart from one or two slightly dirty rear ends but again nothing serious . Trough is working fine

2 mild limpers
Sunday, October 17, 2021
Sunday 17th October
All 50x accounted for. They were quite spread out when I first went out to them, but there were no stragglers and they all came in to a call.
One of the smaller ones does look to have a bit of a messy back end, but seems ok in itself and there are no flies around it. No concerns.

Saturday 16th October
All 50x accounted for. A few limping, but nothing that looked serious.
I poured out a long line of pellets and had a good look while they spread out and browsed. I couldn't see scours, but some have darker back ends which I think is ewes staining their fleece. No flies spotted either.
No concerns.

Thursday October 14th
All 50 sheep accounted for. They were all enjoying another mild autumn day , grazing well and generally looking well . The old ewe continues to limp as previously mentioned. She appears to have a sore off fore . This is not particularly obvious but it hasn’t got better since I saw her on Tuesday . Also there is one lamb with a mucky behind ( scouring ? ) otherwise they seem fine . Their trough is working ok

Tuesday October 12th
All 50 sheep accounted for . They all looked very well , clearly enjoying the sunshine of a beautiful autumn day. One animal with a slight limp which I think is the older ewe . I have sent a photo to Chris as having trouble uploading to the blog. Otherwise all fine . Their trough is working ok.

All 50 counted, no signs of any sneezers today. Nice dry spell of warm weather for them!

Sunday 10th October
All 50x accounted for. #104 seems better today - still moving awkwardly, but keeping in with the flock. No flies. Trough working. No concerns.

Saturday 9th October
All 50x counted quite easily today, as they were nicely spread out and browsing.
They all came in to a call, apart from #104 who stayed on the far side of the field. He had a tender back left leg, but I couldn't see an injury. Once I'd guided him back into the flock, he rooted for pellets with the rest and seemed ok in himself. I'll check him again in the morning.
The goat monster was friendly.

Friday 8th October
All 50 counted, couldn't see the limper today. A dog walker has told me there's a hole in the fence, with so many dogs passing through it would good to patch it up. She's going to send me the precise location later.

Thursday 7th Barton Sheep
50 sheep accounted for.
Got a good look at one of the ones which suffered the fly strike on it's back and it looks as if it's all cleared up.
One is still walking with a bit of a limp. I couldn't get close enough to see its tag but it still seems happy to run about.

Tuesday October 5th
All 50 sheep present and correct . Apart from one or two who looked a little stiff after getting up, and which wore off after a short while , I saw no limpers. No one coughing and spluttering either . Only thing I noticed is that the older ewe seems to prefer to stay apart from the rest or at least behaved this way while I was there . I cannot see anything wrong though so this maybe just wanting to pursue a more independent course ! Otherwise no issues seen. Trough is ok

Monday 4th October
All 50 counted. They are running up to me now expecting food, so I feel bad I have nothing to give! Also noticed that one of them is coughing/sneezing, check out the video here https://photos.app.goo.gl/dQi7rS2Z1iKpNFiG8. Can't see which one. Also spotted "Rambro" who Chris was talking about, has an air confidence about them.

Sunday 3rd Oct
All 50x eventually counted today. Quite a few limping still, but all were moving fairly freely and there were no outliers from the flock.
I've only just realised that the old Shetland has been swapped out for something massive that looks like a goat.. When did that happen? And what is that thing.....?

Saturday 2nd Oct
All 50x counted today and all were in the actual field, which was nice. There were lots of limpers again today, but I couldn't spot any visible causes while they were rooting around for sheep nuts. I couldn't any flies around them, although it was raining at the time.. No concerns.

Friday October 1sd
All 50 sheep counted but I noticed that one of them has got through the fence somehow, I didn't think they were able to get through after the new fencing was installed but hopefully it will find a way back.
