A late night sheep check for me (9pm) so wasn't able to go and feed them but all seem ok, were still wandering around at the southern end of the field near my house.

Tuesday 24th - Missed Staff Check
Monday, December 23, 2024
Mon 23rd Dec
All 51 were located near my back garden behind Colley Close. Getting much more tame, no issues seen at all. Francesca I reported the deer carcass a few weeks back, letting nature take it's course!

Saturday 21st December 2024
Lambs checked this afternoon. 19 were in the dip and the others at the north end of the meadow. No limping observed.
Friday 20th
I’ll be honest, I struggled to count the sheep this time, as they all came swarming up to me as soon as I got in to the field, and then followed me down to the food. It was like trying to count moving ants.
I THINK I counted 50, but sometimes it was 46-49 never made it to 51 though
However, I didn’t see anyone limping, and even the little scraggly one seemed to be doing okay.
A couple of the sheep came and sniffed/touched my hand even without food, and there were a couple who let me give them a good pat/scratch through their fleece on their back/shoulders.
There is a deer carcass in the top left of the field towards the Colley close houses, but I don’t know if it’s been seen before - didn’t look too…old.

Wednesday 18th December
51 counted, spread across the dip in the big field. They all came running over for some sheep nuts , no obvious limpers seen.

Sun 15 Dec
Emily and I checked on them this morning and all 51x sheep accounted for.
Still the one limper, but it's moving around with the rest and grazing.
They all came over when called.
Trough fine.
No concerns.

Saturday 14th December 2024
The lambs were all at the north end of the field and about 15 of them were running together, back and forth. This stopped very quickly when they saw me with the bucket and about 10 came over, followed by a few more. All 51 accounted for.
Lambs all seemed ok, apart from the one that is kneeling to eat. I didn’t notice any others limping.

Friday the 13th
All 51 sheep there. One was hopping on his front foot, not putting weight on it at all and lowering onto knees to eat, but there was another one that looked like it was limping a little off his back right.
I moved the cob nuts from the top field to the worthy road entrance. Nearly got mobbed by the sheep - all but 6 of them crowded round - and 163 and 173 ate out of my hand. Bucket it looking pretty rough, could maybe do with replacing.

Wednesday 11th December
All 51 down towards the Worthy rd entrance. Most of them followed me but no sheep nuts there. Are they still up at the top of the field? They were all enjoying a good scratch on the wire fencing.
All looking good except for one sheep that was running about on 3 legs, holding up the front left leg.

Monday staff check
Monday 9th Dec
Late check for me, half of the flock were just outside my back garden at the southernmost tip of the field, the other half at the northernmost side. I didn't observe any issues with brambles.

Sun 08 Dec
Emily and I counted all 51x sheep.
Fences seem fine (though haven't checked the full perimeter path), trough fine.
I pulled two sheep out of the brambles along the central hedge line. A third had got its horns properly snagged in the wire, but I managed to lift it up and work it free. I think we'll need to keep an eye out for them getting stuck while foraging or sheltering.
All seem fine. No concerns.
