Friday 21st

I went to count the cows, but the path had a huge giant puddle in it and the bank on the side looked too treacherous to attempt to squeeze past.  My walking boots are water resistant, but not enough for 6 inches deep of muddy water! 😂

Unfortunately I didn’t have time to go the long way round and back again, so I counted the seven that I could see - they were all in the dip.

Thursday 20th Febuary

 Hadrian's post.

Cows looking good and trough fine. Few holes along the northern part of the permissive path.

Tuesday 18th February

A beautiful sunny morning- hope we get more to dry out the slippery mud along the paths!

14 cows all fine grazing near the road entrance at the bottom of the field apart from a group of 3 laying down chewing their cud over the far side by the hedge. Water trough okay

Enjoyed watching a flock of redwing feeding in the field near the main group of cows and a pair of skylarks performing a courtship display at the NE corner. The buzzard was being mobbed by a crow. A kestrel was hovering near the SW corner but appeared to be unsuccessful. A single roe deer again in the western field

Met several people appreciating the sunshine - dog walkers and mums with young babies strapped to them.

Sam - a reminder we are going on holday and will be back on 18th March.
