Tuesday 21st April

Surveyed the trees on the eastern side of the site today. Also did some litter picking and spoke to quite a few members of the public interested in what I was doing and where the sheep had gone!

Progress picture with lovely blue sky!

The signs about Covid-19 have been put on all the kissing gates.

Friday 17th April

An interesting stroll round the meadows. Starting to really see red clover and ox-eye daisy leaves but no sign of flowers yet. A few cowslips in the north eastern corner which I haven't noticed in previous years otherwise only ground ivy and dandelions flowering at the moment.

A bit of litter at all the benches so I will come and clear that early next week. Progress picture looks somewhat the same except the hedge is greening up nicely. A bit obscured by the rain!

Finally, a lovely NHS tribute made by one of the neighbours on the boundary fence.

Wildlife highlights: Skylarks, 4 common lizard, 1 slow worm, chiff chaff, peacock and brimstone butterflies. 3 roe deer still about as well.

Fixed point photograph... any change?

Monday 30th March

Lots more people on site this week. The erosion has uncovered some wire in the ground on the northern section of the public footpath. I have taken up as much as I can and put a layer of soil on top to cover what is left.

Picture number 2, not much has changed in 2 weeks!

'Livestock grazing' signs removed.

I am going to take some fixed point photographs over the next few months to see how the meadows progress. Here is the first...

Tuesday 10th March

Sheep all look well. They were very disappointed I didn't take them any nuts!

Path on north of site widened.
