Saturday 30th November 2024

Checked on the lambs this afternoon. All together at the south end of the field and all accounted for. Would it be a better idea to have the sheep nuts stored at the Worthy Road entrance, rather than top field?

Wednesday 27th November

51 sheep counted, spread across the middle of the field. Most of them followed me round the field once I had the bucket. One lamb is still lame and kneeling to graze. Otherwise all good.

Monday 26th November

Hi all,

Lambs are well bucket trained now. I restocked the bucket but please do call them over with some treats if you can.

There was one lame sheep which has been reported to the grazing team.

Contractors carrying out tree works along power line this Friday morning fyi.

Cheers,

Sam

Sun 24 Nov

Emily and I counted all 51x sheep.

As before, lots of messy back ends and quite a few (maybe half of them) are itching and nibbling at their sides, but no flies seen on any of them. The wormer treatment and new grazing will hopefully sort this out.

Trough fine.

Didn't see any fallen trees and fencing seems fine.

Friday 22nd November

The ice had defrosted by the time I got there in bright sunshine, couldn't see any issues at all but I did find a dead deer in the larger field, nature is taking it's course with some ravens feeding on it. Pic attached, not for feint hearted.
