Thursday 29 Oct

Not my usual day, but there was a dog in the eastern enclosure, so I ran out to help.  A passerby (not the owner of course...........) had caught the dog by the time I arrived.  The owner was very apologetic, so lesson learnt in this case.  The dog had not been on a lead - it was a small 2yo yappy thing and I don't think it did anything worse than unsettle the sheep.

I'm not sure whether the signage could ask people to keep their dogs on a lead?

The dog may have got into the field under the gate or through the wire near the water trough in the western enclosure.  Ellie said she will have a look.

I checked on the sheep and calmed them down.  Ollie led them all to me and he rooted through my pockets while I looked over and counted the rest.  All 53x counted and they all look ok.

Mini-sheep was detached from the flock when I arrived.  It was looking a little uncomfortable and walking awkwardly, but re-joined the flock while I was there.  I reported this to Ellie and we agreed to keep an eye on it.
