Thursday September 23rd
Sheep well spread out across the centre of the field. All 50 accounted for. One limper which I think is the one that was treated yesterday . Still very lame; the near side fore is the problem. The animal is grazing alright but will only do so either kneeling or lying down and while it can clearly hobble it prefers to remain lying down as it’s foot is clearly very uncomfortable . Afraid that I couldn’t get the tag number. . Apart from the one with the ragged fleece no signs of fly strike that I could discern but hopefully a combination of cooler weather and the fact they have all been sprayed will deal with this . Otherwise they all look fine . Trough is working ok.
