On an absolutely miserable day with horizontal rain blowing across the field, the cows were sheltering down by the gate at the Worthy Lane entrance. They looked fine (they're a hardy bunch) and started to walk to the middle of the field following me up the hill, seem to be trying to get into part that's fenced off. It's now flooded on the footpath down there and getting boggy at the cows gate entrance.
This is a blog for Barton Meadows. The purpose of this blog is for staff and lookers to post a record of their livestock checks. The blog acts as a formal record of livestock wellbeing and welfare checks by providing access to up-to-date information on livestock and site status, and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust
